Friday art Focus: Orange County Creatives juried art showcase

For the last three months I have been working on building an exciting gallery that helps local emerging artists connect with opportunities to be seen.

We believe that art is important and that artists have something valuable to contribute to our world. There are many emerging artists with talent and passion but they often lack the resources, time, and skills needed get their work seen and appreciated by those who would be willing to purchase their work. Our belief is that these emerging artists with the right resources and assistance can progress towards their goals. We are committed to connecting artists with opportunities to be seen.

The first way is through our monthly art walk showcases at our gallery in the Santa Ana Artists Village (207 N Broadway, Suite D, Santa Ana, CA 92701) The second avenue is focused on photographers. We are hosting a monthly series of juried photography showcases with prizes for local Orange County photographers. The first showcase will happen over the weekend of  July 19. Here are the details if you are a photographer in the area or know a local photographer. Please encourage them to join us for this first of many great opportunities to connect their work with others.

THEME | Black and White

Black and white photography has the power to reveal the core essence of life and its surroundings by stripping away all but the simple tones and shades that make up the whole. Instead of showing things the way they are the photographer shares their own creative vision on the images they create through a form that is limited. In the July 2013, Black and White photography exhibit we are interested in exploring the many shades of black and white photography, therefore all subject matter is welcome.
